Testimonials

“Working with Encóre Contemporary Choir on the Culture of Compassion event was such a pleasure. We were working under a unique set of conditions with a very tight rehearsal/soundcheck timeslot. They were delightfully diciplined and cheerful – they looked, moved and sounded great – (and that was the rehearsal). Their performance was WOW!”

We were thrilled when Encóre Contemporary Choir confirmed they were available to sing at our event in Buncrana. I had heard a little of their music online, and really looked forward to their live performance. We were not disappointed! The choir sounded absolutely fantastic! The audience were really captivated and under the guidance of Emmet Doherty, we were entertained beyond our expectations. Apart from the wonderful voices, beautiful harmonies and well chosen songs, the choir themselves were a delight to have around. So friendly and happy to be there, they even hung around ’til the end of our event, and were very complimentary to the other performers. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough, and as they enter a very exciting chapter in their story, singing for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, I am so pleased we were lucky enough to bring them to our town.

It was a brilliant concert. Full of energy with great singing and a bouyant atmosphere. The concert has drawn a lot of attention locally. It really injected a lot of energy and buzz into the festival. We really appreciate the choir coming all the way down and spreading the love and joy…

…On behalf of the Sean Bheairic committee, thanks ever so much for giving a truly memorable and fantastic concert.

One of the other highlights of the festival was a concert given by the Encóre Contemporary Choir from Derry. Under the musical direction of Emmet Doherty, the forty strong choir delighted audiences with their unique and colourful take on contemporary music. They sang uplifting and beautiful renditions of popular songs by Snow Patrol, Robbie Williams, Dolly Parton and other contemporary artists as well as a medley of hits from the West End and Broadway. The choir received an ovation and left the hall to rapturous applause.
