City of Culture – Fleadh 2013Our Travelling Poster got to the Fleadh too Pictured here with Sile Ni Bhraonáin of TG4 during a live broadcast. And of course our own Ann Marie! Stendhal – Limavady – Co LondonderryOur Travelling Poster made it to Stendhal too, with Ann Marie Dorrity and a rather frisky Stendhal Panda!

World Record for decades.Our Travelling Poster was launched less than a week ago and has already been part of setting a World Record for Irish Dancing! The event was in aid of Children in Crossfire and pictured with the poster are some of our lovely members who helped achieve the record! Well done to everyone involved.

Best Boy Grips Encores PosterOur Travelling Poster bumped into the hugely talented Eoin O’Callaghan, AKA Best Boy Grip tonight. We’re big fans of BBG! He wished us all the best for our big night and added “Break a leg”! Thanks Eoin.

An GriananThe Travelling Poster also visited Grianan Fort in Co. Donegal with choir member Cathy (aka ‘Steamy’) O’Neill and her lovely daughters, Bronagh and Caoimhe.


Warrior guards DecadesFifty replicas of China’s Terracotta Warriors are on display at Belfast City Hall and one of them got hold of our Travelling Poster! The seven foot tall sculptures are recreations of some of the 8,000 which were buried with the first Chinese emperor.


Foyle Gay Pride send best wishesAnd just before heading off to London, our Travelling Poster attended the opening of the Foyle Pride Festival with Heidi Chic, guest of honour Amy Lamé and Festival Chairperson, Joe Carlin. Best of luck for a fabulous festival from Encóre Contemporary Choir!

Encóre adopts Action on Hearing Loss as Charity of the Year 2012 – 2013

Encóre Contemporary Choir, which celebrated its 1st ‘birthday’ in February, has announced that it is to adopt ‘Action on Hearing Loss’ as its ‘preferred charity’ for 2012 and 2013.  Action on Hearing Loss, formerly RNID, is the largest UK charity supporting people with a hearing loss.  It celebrated its centenary last year and has been in Northern Ireland since 1991.
